Give Me 5 For Kids visited Bay Street last Wednesday, 18 June. Spida Everett, local DJ on Gold FM, rode from Surfers Paradise to Tweed Heads on a rickshaw visiting local businesses on the way to raise funds for Give Me 5 For Kids.
Our staff got in on the act by donating money and having the chance to sit in the rickshaw. We are happy to report, between the Professionals and staff, we were able to give over $100 towards this worthwhile cause.
If you haven’t heard what this is about – Give Me 5 For Kids is a fundraising initiative supported by over 40 radio & TV stations across regional Australia. For almost 20 years, the month of June has been dedicated to raising much needed funds for local community hospitals as well as sick children and their families when they need it most.
Over the years millions of dollars have been raised to pay for invaluable medical equipment and provide support for families with sick children in our community, but it’s not nearly enough.
If you see the fundraisers around – please help out.
